Usingarchivalfootageanddramaticre-enactments，thisdocumentarydealswiththeimmediateaftermathofthe1918armisticethatbroughtWorldWarItoanend.FromJanuarytoJuly1919，theParisPeaceConferencedealtnotonlywithissuesrelatedtoGermanybutwiththethornyissueofnationalboundariesinEurope，theMiddleEastandAsia.FromthisconferenceemergedYugoslaviaandCzechoslovakia;theannexationofpartsofGermanybyothercountries;thecreationofIraq;andthetransferofGermancoloniesinAfricaandChinatonewcolonialmasters.ItalsoledtothecreationoftheLeagueofNations，championedbyPresidentWoodrowWilsonbutwhichtheUSneverjoined.Whentheyfinallydealtwiththeissueofwarreparations，theyimposedapaymentsscheduleonGermanythatmanybelieveprovidedtheunderpinningsofWorldWarII.
